DELL 서버 인텔 X710 10G SFP+SR flapping 문제 해결

INTEL X710 아답터를 사용하는 분이라면 겪을 수 있는

혹은 다른 인텔 비슷한것 역시 겪을 수 있는 link flap 문제입니다

스위치와 X710사이의 SFP 연결을 통해 링크가 문제가 발생하는 현상입니다

타 벤더도 X710을 사용한다면 발생할 수 있습니다

그냥 사용중에는 발생하지 않고 새로운 스위치를 연결하거나 변경이 있을 때 생깁니다

증상 : This article provides the information when Intel X710 adapters and Dual Rate 1G/10G SFP+SR optic report port flapping after a switch or server reboots.

위 처럼 서버 리붓이나 스위치 리붓시 link flapping 이 나타나다 link down 이 됩니다

GBIC , ADAPTER , CABLE , NEGO 문제일 수 있지만 이 모든걸 체크 했다면

펌웨어 문제입니다

Port flapping on the PowerEdge server with Intel X710 adapters and the Dual Rate 1G/10G SFP+ SR optic may be reported after a switch or server reboot. If the switch or the server was rebooted, the adapter goes into a port flap, which is observable via the link and activity LED on the adapter.
For example, rebooting switch will send the adapter into port flap until the Dual Rate 1G/10G SFP+SR optic has been reseated.

This issue only occurs with versions below 18.5.x, 17.x.x does not exhibit this issue.

Solution
A fix became available as a firmware update in the May to July 2019 time frame. To resolve the issue, it is recommended to update the card firmware to the latest version 18.5.17.
